How Do I Get Found on Google and in ChatGPT With a Blog?

A step-by-step recipe for running a blog with Revnu so buyers find you on Google and in AI answers. Fill in your product facts, connect a place for posts to live, connect Search Console, choose what waits for you, and track how ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity mention you.

Give Revnu your product facts, connect a place for posts to live, and connect Google Search Console. Revnu writes up to one post a day from your facts, publishes it under your Blog Posts setting, checks it gets indexed, and tracks how ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity mention you.

What you need

  • One way for posts to reach your site:

    • A developer or coding agent, for the Content API

    • Access to your domain's DNS, for the Revnu-hosted blog on a subdomain such as blog.yourcompany.com

    • Your site's code in a GitHub repo, for pull requests

  • A Google Search Console property for your site, with Owner or Full permission. Optional, but it's how Revnu sees your clicks and indexing.

  • Your product facts: prices, features, what you no longer offer

Step by step

  1. Check the facts posts are written from

Open Settings > Memory > Product Facts and check it's right. Every post is written from it and checked against it. Add anything that must never appear, such as a retired plan or a competitor's name, to Never Say, one per line. See Memory.

  2. Pick where posts go

Open Visibility > Posts, enter your blog's address, for example yourcompany.com/blog, and press Continue.

    Your site What to do
Has a developer or a coding agent Copy the API key and the setup prompt from Connect Your Site, hand both over, and press I've Connected It once it's deployed.
Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Framer, Lovable, WordPress or Shopify, with no developer Use the hosted blog on a subdomain. Say "put my blog on blog.yourcompany.com", or open Visibility > Publishing Settings and press Add Domain. Add the DNS record it shows, then press I've Added DNS.
Code lives in a GitHub repo Connect the repo and Revnu opens a pull request for each post. You merge it.

If Revnu finds posts already on your blog, choose Import All N Posts or Start with New Posts Only. Either way, your old posts stay where they are. See get Revnu's posts onto your site.

  3. Connect Search Console

Open Connections, find Google Search Console under Learn Your Business, and press Connect. Pick the Google account your site is verified under and leave every box ticked. Revnu then submits your blog's sitemap and starts checking each new post is indexed. See connect Google Search Console.

  4. Choose whether posts wait for you

On Pro, Blog Posts starts on Just Do It. A finished post waits in Review until 9:00 on the first weekday at least 24 hours away, then publishes unless you stop it. To read and approve every post first, set Blog Posts to Ask Me First in Settings > Agent. See control what gets published.

  5. Steer the topics

Revnu picks topics from what your buyers search for. Steer it in plain words:

write for people searching how to automate invoice reminders

turn this whitepaper into a post for operations leads, focused on the setup steps

Revnu writes one post a day on its own. An extra post needs its own ask, each time.

  6. Track how AI answers mention you

Open Visibility > Tracked Prompts and add the questions a buyer would type into ChatGPT before they've heard of you. Short, no brand name:

invoicing tool for freelancers in the uk

Add the competitors you lose deals to in Visibility > Competitors, or say "add acme as a competitor". On Pro, Revnu checks ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity every week. See AI visibility.

  7. Get the site itself checked

audit my site for seo and ai search

Revnu reads your live pages the way Google and AI engines do and puts a fix list in Review. With GitHub connected, ask it to fix an item in a pull request. See get a site audit.

What to expect, and when

  • After you connect: Revnu checks the live site. Once posts serve correctly, it starts the first post and the daily cadence.

  • Each day: up to one new post, or a deeper rewrite of one that already ranks. Revnu tells you which.

  • Days to weeks: for Google to index a new post. A new site takes longer. Revnu tells you about a post still not indexed after 14 days.

  • About two days behind: Search Console numbers. Expect impressions first and clicks later.

  • Weekly on Pro: a new AI visibility measurement.

  • Months: to judge the blog. Changes in AI answers show over weeks, not days.

If it doesn't work

What you see What to do
Posts stopped coming Three of Revnu's drafts may be waiting for you. Approve, publish or discard one and it carries on. See why isn't my post live?
The subdomain says DNS Pending Compare each record with the card, character by character, then press I've Added DNS again
Revnu found no existing posts Enter the page that lists your posts, not your homepage. Press Change URL
A post got a fact wrong Fix it in Product Facts, then ask "find every post that mentions the old pricing and fix it"
Search Console says no properties You signed in with the wrong Google account. Press Reconnect with another account
You don't want a blog Say "i don't want to do seo for now". Revnu stops suggesting it, and Visibility still tracks AI answers
