Connect LinkedIn
Connect your LinkedIn so Revnu can send connection requests and messages as you, slowly and in working hours, and read your replies. What it does with your account, how fast, connecting on a phone, teammates' accounts, and read-only mode.
Once LinkedIn is connected, Revnu sends connection requests and messages from your own account, as you. It reads your replies so it can follow up.
It sends slowly on purpose: 5 invites a day in your first week, rising to at most 17 a day from week four. It only sends on weekdays, between 9:00 and 18:00 in your time zone.
LinkedIn is optional. Revnu can run outreach by email only. If you want Revnu to see your LinkedIn messages but never send, connect it and turn on read-only mode.
How do I connect LinkedIn?
Open Connections
In the dashboard, open Connections and find the Reach People group.
Press Connect on LinkedIn DMs
Press Connect on the LinkedIn DMs row.
Confirm the note
Read the Before You Connect LinkedIn note, tick the box and press Connect LinkedIn.
Sign in to LinkedIn
Sign in on the screen that opens. LinkedIn may ask for a code, or a check in the LinkedIn app.
Check the row
You land back on Connections. The row says Connected and your name.
Revnu notices the new connection by itself and picks up any approved LinkedIn work that was waiting. You don't need to tell it.
Note
LinkedIn Ads is a different row. It's in Connections > Advertise and is for paid campaigns. See connect LinkedIn Ads.
If your email sending has stopped, LinkedIn can carry outreach while you fix it. Connect it here, then add LinkedIn steps to the campaign you already have. See move an email campaign to LinkedIn and why emails aren't sending.
Can I connect LinkedIn from my phone?
Yes. Open revnu.com/dashboard/connections in your phone's browser, sign in to Revnu, and follow the same steps. If Revnu sent you the Connections link in iMessage or Slack, tap it.
LinkedIn opened its app and never came back
On a phone, LinkedIn may ask you to confirm the sign-in in the LinkedIn app. Your phone jumps to the app, and it may never bring you back to Revnu. If that happens:
Finish the check in the LinkedIn app.
Switch back to your browser. If the LinkedIn sign-in screen is still open there, finish it.
Open revnu.com/dashboard/connections again and look at the LinkedIn DMs row.
It worked when the row says Connected. If the page says "Finishing your LinkedIn connection", wait a moment. It updates by itself once the connection is verified.
If it says "LinkedIn did not finish connecting", the attempt expired, or the row still says Not Connected, tap Connect once more. You can also ask Revnu "is my LinkedIn connected?".
What does Revnu do with my LinkedIn account?
With LinkedIn connected, Revnu can:
Send connection requests, with or without a note
Message people who have accepted, and reply inside existing conversations
Send InMail, if your plan has credits or the person has an open profile
Read your LinkedIn messages, so replies show up in Inbox > LinkedIn
Look up profiles before it contacts someone
It doesn't post on your feed, like posts, comment, or change your profile. Posts are drafts you publish yourself. See social posts.
Connecting never starts a campaign by itself. Revnu only sends what you've approved: a sequence you approved, or a one-off invite or message under your approval settings.
How fast does it send?
Slowly. A new account starts at 5 invites and 10 messages a day, and the limits rise each week for four weeks. Actions are spaced a few minutes apart, with never more than 8 in an hour. Nothing sends on weekends or outside 9:00 to 18:00 in your time zone. The full table is on LinkedIn limits and account safety.
There is no setting to turn the limits off, and Revnu's team can't raise them for you.
How does Revnu keep my LinkedIn account safe?
Revnu uses your LinkedIn at the pace a busy person would, never in bursts:
Low daily and weekly caps that ramp up over your first month.
Human hours only, on weekdays, in your time zone.
A random gap of a few minutes between actions, and a different total each day.
A full stop for at least 72 hours the moment LinkedIn pushes back. See why LinkedIn sending stopped.
Tip
Want Revnu to read your LinkedIn but never send? Use read-only mode, below. You can also skip LinkedIn and run email only.
How do I stop Revnu sending on LinkedIn but keep reading?
Switch off LinkedIn Sending in Settings > Agent. The card then starts with "Read-only".
For a quick pause, you can also just tell Revnu:
Don't send anything on LinkedIn until I say so.
The switch is the firm version: Revnu can't turn it back on, only a person can.
Revnu still reads your LinkedIn conversations and looks up profiles, and you still see them in Inbox > LinkedIn. It never sends, invites or withdraws anything, including the LinkedIn steps of a sequence you already approved.
When Revnu would have sent something, it says so in its reply wherever you talk to it (iMessage, Slack or the dashboard chat), and gives you the exact message to send yourself on LinkedIn. It doesn't save one-off sends to fire later.
The switch holds:
It covers the whole workspace. Every teammate's LinkedIn account is read-only, not just yours.
Replies you type yourself still send. If you write a reply in Inbox > LinkedIn, it goes out. Read-only stops Revnu writing as you, nothing more.
What happens to invites and sequence steps already waiting?
If a one-off invite or message is already waiting in Review, approving it doesn't send it while read-only is on. A sequence's LinkedIn steps wait too: switch sending back on and each person carries on from their next step.
LinkedIn's sign-in screen says the connection can send messages
LinkedIn's own sign-in screen lists what the connection is allowed to do, such as reading and sending messages. Those boxes don't restrict anything. The LinkedIn Sending switch is what stops sending.
Can Revnu list all my connections or pending invites?
No. Read-only doesn't give you a list of all your LinkedIn connections or of invites people sent you. For one person, Revnu can check whether you're connected and whether an invite is pending.
Can a teammate connect their own LinkedIn?
Yes, and it adds capacity, but it doesn't change who sends your campaigns. Each person on your team can connect one LinkedIn account, called a seat. A teammate's seat sends one-off invites and messages you ask for by name, with its own daily limits. A sequence always sends its LinkedIn steps from the account owner's LinkedIn.
Add them to your team
Add them in Settings > Account > Team. See add teammates.
They sign in as themselves
They sign in to Revnu from their own login.
They connect their own LinkedIn
They open Connections > Reach People > LinkedIn DMs, confirm the note themselves and connect.
Nobody can connect, reconnect or disconnect someone else's LinkedIn, not even the account owner. The LinkedIn DMs row on Connections only ever shows your own account.
Each seat has its own limits and its own four-week ramp. Two seats don't share one daily allowance, so a second seat doubles what you can send one-off. It doesn't speed up a sequence, which only uses the owner's allowance.
Which account sends a campaign?
Sequences send their LinkedIn steps from the account owner's LinkedIn, the person who created the Revnu account. There's no setting to pick a different seat for a sequence, so a sequence can't send from a cofounder's account instead.
A teammate's seat is used when you ask for it in chat. For example, "send Priya a connection request from Sam's LinkedIn" sends that one invite from Sam's account. In Inbox > LinkedIn, pick whose conversations to read.
What happens when a teammate is removed?
When a teammate is removed in Settings > Account > Team, their LinkedIn leaves with them. Their connection is removed and nothing else sends from their account.
A one-off invite or message that was meant to go from their seat, such as a card still waiting in Review, won't send. Ask Revnu to send it from your own LinkedIn instead. Sequences are unaffected, since they never sent from a teammate's seat.
Does Revnu use my LinkedIn to find leads?
No. Revnu finds leads in its own database of companies and the people who work at them, not in your LinkedIn account. Many of those leads carry a LinkedIn profile link, which is how the same people can be reached on LinkedIn later. Nothing happens on your LinkedIn until you connect it, and nothing sends until you approve it. See how Revnu finds leads.
If it doesn't work
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| The row says Needs Reconnect | LinkedIn sessions end after a password change or a security check. Press Reconnect and sign in again, with the same LinkedIn account you connected before |
| The row says Paused | LinkedIn pushed back, so Revnu stopped. The row shows why and when sending can resume. See why LinkedIn sending stopped |
| The row says LinkedIn access is locked or recovering | That's on Revnu's side. You don't need to reconnect. Revnu waits for it to clear |
| On a phone, LinkedIn opened its app and never came back | Finish the check in the app, then reopen revnu.com/dashboard/connections in your browser. If the row isn't Connected, tap Connect again |
| The row says each person connects their own LinkedIn from their own login | You're signed in as someone else, or viewing another account. Sign in as yourself |

Frequently Asked Questions
Revnu is built to keep your account safe. It uses small caps that ramp up over a month, weekday working hours only and gaps of minutes between actions, and it stops for at least 72 hours if LinkedIn pushes back. If you'd rather it never sends, use read-only mode or email only.
