What Revnu Does on Its Own Each Day, and What Waits for You

How Revnu works day to day. What it does on its own every day, what always waits for your yes, what your approval settings decide, when it messages you, and how to hand it more of the work.

Revnu works on your business every day without being asked. It checks your results, does the next piece of work and tells you what moved. Some work goes out on its own. Spending, replies to prospects and your first sequence always wait for your yes. Your approval settings decide the rest.

On its own vs waits for you

Revnu does this on its own This waits for your yes
Reads your results every day: replies, booked calls, ad numbers, rankings, AI answers Your first sequence
Finds leads and drafts the next emails Replies to prospects (Revnu drafts, you send)
Writes blog posts, and on Pro publishes them after a hold, unless you dismiss them Anything that spends money: ad budgets, domains, inboxes, gifts
On Pro, starts new sequences after your first one Booking links and Reddit comments
Runs your workflows and the checks it promised On Pro by default: one-off emails, LinkedIn invites and messages, ad tests
Messages you when something changed, plus a Monday roll-up Anything you set to Ask Me First

The right-hand column is the approvals page in short. The first four rows on the right never move. Everything marked "On Pro" follows the six approval settings in Settings > Agent: switch one and that work moves to the other column.

Tip

Say "pause" or "ask first" in chat at any time to hold sends.

What does Revnu do each day?

Once a day, at your check-in time (10am in your timezone unless you change it), Revnu runs a work session. In it, it can:

  • Read your latest results: replies, booked calls, ad numbers, search rankings and AI answers

  • Replace an experiment that's losing with a new one

  • Find more leads and draft the next emails

  • Write or refresh a blog post

  • Follow up on anything it asked you and you haven't answered

It does at least one piece of this work every day, even on a quiet day and even while something waits for your approval. For example, it finds more leads for a sequence you haven't approved yet.

Between sessions it also runs:

  • Workflows. Standing work you asked for on a schedule, such as "every Monday, find 20 new seed-stage fintech founders". They live in Workflows. See recurring work.

  • Follow-ups it booked. If Revnu says "I'll check tomorrow", it books that check and does it.

  • Watches. Ask Revnu to tell you when something happens, such as "tell me if conversions stop" or "let me know when they change their pricing page". It writes a small check that runs every few minutes and wakes it the moment the check trips. It can set one up on its own after connecting tracking or launching a campaign. A quiet watch messages no one. Ask "what are you watching?" to see them, or tell it to stop one.

  • Long research. Big lead lists and market scans run in the background and report back when done.

When does Revnu message me?

  • The daily update. One short message after the daily session, only when something changed: a result, something that went live, or a question that's blocking work. On a quiet day you hear nothing.

  • The Monday roll-up. Once a week, on Monday, a short summary: one number against last week, what went live, anything waiting on you, and one offer of what to do next. It comes even in a quiet week.

  • When it needs you. A prospect replied, a blocker only you can clear, or a decision with a deadline.

Messages go to the channel you last wrote to Revnu on: Slack, iMessage or the dashboard chat. To change the time, tell Revnu ("send my update at 8am"). To stop the daily update, say "turn off the daily update". That also stops the Monday roll-up. The daily work still runs, and Revnu still messages you when it needs you. See daily updates and the Monday report.

What waits for me?

Your approval settings decide what Revnu does alone. Open Settings, then the Agent tab, and find What Needs Your Approval. Each of the six rows can be Ask Me First or Just Do It.

These are the Pro defaults. On Managed, the starting values depend on how your account was set up.

Setting On Pro, by default
Blog Posts Just Do It
Start Sequences Just Do It
One-Off Emails Ask Me First
Connection Requests (LinkedIn) Ask Me First
Messages (LinkedIn) Ask Me First
Ad Tests Ask Me First

Some things always wait, whatever the settings say:

  • Your first sequence

  • Anything that spends money or changes a budget: ad budgets, domains, inboxes, gifts

  • Replies to prospects, and booking links

  • Reddit comments

What waits shows up as a card in Review. On Just Do It, a blog post still sits in Review until the next weekday at 9am your time, at least 24 hours away, so you can dismiss it first. See what Revnu asks before it acts.

How do I hand more of the work to Revnu?

  1. State a goal, not steps

This is the fastest way to hand over more. Give Revnu the outcome, who it's for and when you want it by. It chooses the leads, the copy and the follow-ups, and works toward the goal in its daily sessions:

Get me 10 replies from founders of UK software companies with 5 to 50 staff by the end of this month. Email and LinkedIn are both fine. Tell me each Monday how close we are.

Book 5 demos with heads of finance at accounting firms this quarter. Start with email, and only suggest ads if email stalls for three weeks.

Grow sign-ups from Google. Write posts that answer the questions our buyers search for before they've heard of us, and show me which ones start getting clicks.

A list of steps, such as "email these five people", makes you the one driving.

For standing work on a schedule, ask for a workflow:

Every Monday at 9am, post last week's emails sent, replies and booked calls to this channel.

    See recurring work.

  2. Loosen the approval settings you trust

In Settings > Agent > What Needs Your Approval, switch the kinds of work you're happy with to Just Do It. Setting Ad Tests to Just Do It, for example, lets Revnu swap a losing ad for a new one inside a test budget you already approved.

  3. Say yes when it asks

After you've approved a run of good work, Revnu may ask once whether it can send or publish that kind of work on its own. Say "ask first" or "pause" any time to take it back.

How do I give Revnu context?

Revnu reads Settings > Memory before everything it does. The list on the left holds three kinds of section:

  • About your business: one section per topic, such as Who We Sell To: what you sell, who buys it, where they are and who to skip.

  • Product Facts: true things it may say about your product.

  • Never Say: claims it must never make. These are enforced on every send and post.

Pick a section, edit it and press Save. Revnu uses the change on its next message. You can also just tell it in chat ("we only sell to clinics with 5+ locations"), and it keeps Memory up to date. See teach Revnu your business with Memory.

Is there a daily limit?

On Pro, the work Revnu schedules for itself has a daily limit, reset at midnight UTC. If it's reached, held work moves to just after midnight UTC. Nothing is lost. Your own messages are always answered, though they count toward the day. Managed has no limit.

What you'll see

  • A short update in your channel on days something changed.

  • A roll-up every Monday.

  • New cards in Review when Revnu needs a yes.

  • Upcoming and running work in the What I'm doing panel on Home.

If it doesn't work

What you see What to do
No message for days On quiet days Revnu stays silent. Ask "what did you do this week?" for a summary. If you turned the daily update off, say "turn the daily update back on"
You feel like you're driving everything Give Revnu a goal with a number and loosen one approval setting. See above
