How Many Emails Revnu Sends a Day
The daily and hourly email limits on Pro and Managed, for your own Gmail or Outlook and for sending inboxes Revnu buys. The sending window and time zone, weekday-only and holiday sending, how to send more, how to spread a big batch of approvals, and what day one realistically looks like.
On Pro, each Gmail or Outlook mailbox you connect sends up to 50 emails a day and 20 an hour, any day and any time, each within minutes of your approval. Sending inboxes Revnu buys send a few a day each, on weekdays only, inside a sending window in your prospects' time zone.
To send more, add more mailboxes. Revnu won't send hundreds a day from one mailbox.
Tip
The 50 a day is a ceiling, not a target. From a fresh mailbox or your main one, approving a few a day is the safer pace. See will Revnu's emails land in spam?.
What to do instead
Your own Pro mailbox has no hours, weekday or per-day setting. Here's what works for each goal:
| You want | Do this |
|---|---|
| Only weekdays from your own mailbox | Set Start Sequences and One-Off Emails to Ask Me First in Settings > Agent, then approve in Review on weekdays |
| Fewer a day than the limit | Approve a few in Review each day and snooze the rest. There's no approve-all and no daily number you can set |
| Pause tonight, restart at exactly 8am | Say "pause", then ask Revnu to message you at 8am. When it does, reply "resume". See pause or stop everything |
| Sending hours that run on their own | Let Revnu buy sending inboxes. They keep a weekday sending window in your prospects' time zone. See sending inboxes |
| One email out at a set time | Tell Revnu, for example "send it tomorrow at 9am". It holds the email until then, in your time zone, up to 7 days ahead |
| Skip a public holiday | Say "pause" the day before and "resume" after. A "skip holidays" line in a workflow is Revnu's judgment, not a rule. See recurring work |
What are the limits on my plan?
| Mailbox | Plan | Per day | Per hour | When it sends |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Your own Gmail or Outlook | Pro | 50 | 20 | Within minutes of your approval, any day |
| A mailbox on your own domain, or a gmail.com or outlook.com address | Managed | 50 | 20 | Within minutes of your approval, any day, once Revnu has checked the domain |
| Sending inboxes Revnu buys | Pro and Managed | 3 each by default, never more than 5 | Spread across the day | Weekdays, inside the sending window |
| Workspace inboxes on lookalike domains Revnu set up for you | Managed | 2 at first, rising to 35 as the inbox ages | Spread across the day | Weekdays, inside the sending window |
The limits on your own mailbox are a guard against something going wrong, not a schedule. Emails leave a minute or more apart, never in a burst. Revnu won't promise an exact send minute.
The Managed ramp is set out in sending inboxes. For why these numbers are low, see will Revnu's emails land in spam?.
How do I send more emails a day?
Add more mailboxes. Each one has its own limit, so 50 a day from one mailbox means a full day of sending, and 200 a day means at least four mailboxes.
Connect more of your own. Teammates can add their own Gmail or Outlook in Connections > Reach People. Each sends up to 50 a day.
Let Revnu buy sending inboxes. They add capacity without touching your real domain, once they've warmed up. See sending inboxes.
Add LinkedIn. It has its own separate limits. See LinkedIn limits.
What is the sending window?
The sending window is the hours on weekdays when the sending inboxes Revnu sets up may send, in your prospects' local time. If you haven't set one, it's 8am to 5pm. Weekends are always off and can't be turned on.
The window doesn't apply to a mailbox you connected yourself. On Pro, that sends each email within minutes of your approval, on any day. When your own inbox sends, the sequence's Settings view says so under Sending Window.
To change the window or the time zone:
Open the sequence
On Leads, pick the campaign, then click the steps pill next to it, for example 3 Steps.
Open its settings
Open the ••• menu at the top of the sequence window and choose Settings.
Change the window and time zone
Press Change next to Sending Window, pick the hours and press Save. Do the same for Timezone, and pick the time zone where your recipients are.
Or tell Revnu in chat, for example "only send between 9am and 4pm London time". Emails already waiting move to the new window.
Can Revnu send only on weekdays and skip public holidays?
It depends on the mailbox.
Sending inboxes Revnu buys already send on weekdays only, inside the window. Waits between steps also count weekdays only.
Your own mailbox on Pro has no weekday or hours setting. Once a sequence is approved and Start Sequences is on Just Do It, Revnu can start new people on it any day, and your mailbox sends within minutes.
To keep your own mailbox to weekdays, set Start Sequences to Ask Me First in Settings > Agent, and leave One-Off Emails on Ask Me First, the Pro default. Each email from your mailbox then waits for you in Review, and nothing leaves until you approve it, so approve on weekdays. See approvals.
Revnu doesn't skip public holidays by itself, on any mailbox. To keep a holiday quiet, say "pause" the day before and tell Revnu to carry on afterwards. Pausing cancels emails that were waiting to send, so ask Revnu to send those again when you resume.
You can add a line such as "skip US public holidays" to a workflow, and Revnu reads it on each run. That's Revnu's judgment, not a fixed rule. Only pause and resume are certain. See recurring work and pause or stop everything.
How do I approve a big batch without sending it all today?
On your own mailbox, an approved email leaves within minutes. Approving 30 cards at once can mean up to 20 go in the next hour. Review has no approve-all button, and there's no setting for a lower daily number on your own inbox, so spread the approvals by hand.
Note
This only works while those emails wait for you. If Start Sequences is on Just Do It, an approved sequence's emails don't come to Review. Set it and One-Off Emails to Ask Me First in Settings > Agent while you pace them.
Approve a few
Approve the first few in Review, say 5 to 10.
Snooze the rest
Snooze the rest to tomorrow, or leave them waiting.
Approve the next batch tomorrow
Come back the next day and approve the next few.
If more than 50 are approved in one day, the extra ones wait for the next day. Sending inboxes Revnu buys spread their emails across the window on their own.
What does day one realistically send?
It depends on three things that happen in order:
A sender. Nothing can send until a mailbox is connected or Revnu's inboxes have warmed up.
Your approval. Your first sequence always waits for you. See sequences.
Leads with a working email. Revnu finds and saves the first five leads quickly, then keeps researching in the background. Each address is checked before it's used.
With your own inbox connected and your first sequence approved, the first handful of emails usually goes out the same day, and more follow as research finishes. A bigger first list comes in over the following days, not all in the first hour.
Why did fewer emails go out than I asked for?
The usual reasons, in order:
The leads weren't ready. Revnu sends only to people whose email it found and checked.
Some emails are still waiting for your approval in Review.
A mailbox hit its daily or hourly limit, so the rest wait.
Revnu's sending inboxes are outside their window or still warming up.
Revnu paused a mailbox because of bounces or a provider block.
Why aren't my emails sending? walks through each one. Ask Revnu "how many went out today, and why not more?" and it gives you the count and the reason.
