How Do I Spy on Competitor Ads With Revnu?
Use Revnu to research competitor ads in the public ad libraries of LinkedIn, Meta, Google, TikTok, X, Reddit and Microsoft. Find who advertises on your keywords, read their offers and landing pages, find the gaps, draft better ads, watch for new ads every week, and turn active advertisers into warm leads.
Every ad your competitors run is public. Meta, LinkedIn, Google, TikTok, X, Reddit and Microsoft each publish a library of ads, and Revnu reads them for you. Name your competitors or your keywords, and Revnu pulls their ads, tells you what they're saying, shows you what nobody is saying, and writes ads that say it.
Find the competitors running the most ads in my category. Pull their live ads from the LinkedIn, Meta and Google ad libraries, summarise the angles and offers they lean on, show me the gaps, and draft three ads that take one.
What you get from competitor ads
Who's spending to reach your buyers. Anyone advertising on your keywords is competing for the same attention, including companies you've never heard of.
What's working for them. An ad that has run for months is an ad someone keeps paying for.
Their offers and landing pages. Free trials, demos, discounts, guarantees, and the page each ad sends people to.
The gaps. The pain, buyer or promise nobody in your market is talking about yet.
Warm leads. A company running ads has budget and a growth goal right now.
The workflow
Pick your competitors or keywords
Tell Revnu who you compete with, or the words your buyers use. If you're not sure, Revnu starts from what it knows about your business in Settings > Memory and searches the libraries for the companies advertising to the same people.
Here are my three main competitors: [names or websites]. Also search for anyone advertising on "[your category]" and "[the problem you solve]".
Pull their ads across the libraries
Revnu searches each library and brings back the ads it finds. Ask for every channel your buyers use, or start with one.
Pull every active ad these competitors are running on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Google. Include the landing page each ad links to.
Summarise the angles and offers
Revnu reads the copy, the calls to action and the landing pages, then groups the ads by what they promise.
Group their ads by angle and offer. For each group, show me two examples and say which competitor leans on it most and how long their oldest ad in it has been running.
Find the gaps
The best ad is often the one nobody in your market runs.
What are none of them saying? Look at our customers' reasons for buying in my Memory and tell me which of those no competitor's ads mention.
Draft your own ads
Revnu writes ads for your business, built on the gap, in your voice. With an ad account connected, it saves them as paused drafts in that account for you to approve. Nothing spends without your yes.
Draft three LinkedIn ads and three Meta ads that take the gap you found. Use our own proof, not theirs, and make me images for each.
Watch for new ads every week
Competitors change their ads all the time. Make it a workflow and Revnu checks the libraries on a schedule and tells you what's new.
Every Monday morning, check the ad libraries for my competitors and anyone new advertising on "[your category]". Tell me about new ads, new offers and new advertisers, with links.
See recurring work with workflows. Your watch lives under Dashboard > Workflows, where you can change, pause or run it any time.
Turn active advertisers into leads
A company paying for ads right now has budget, a growth target and a team that cares about results. If you sell to marketers, founders or growth teams, that's a warm lead.
Search the LinkedIn Ad Library for companies advertising on "[a keyword your buyers' customers search]". Add the ones that fit my ideal customer to Leads, with the person who runs marketing at each.
Revnu adds each company to Leads with the ad as a linked source on its Signals tab, finds the right person and a checked work email, and writes outreach about what that ad says they're pushing for. Read how Revnu finds leads and buying signals for more ways to aim it.
The ad libraries Revnu reads
| Library | What it covers | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| LinkedIn Ad Library | Ads run on LinkedIn, searchable by keyword and advertiser | LinkedIn Ad Library |
| Meta Ad Library | Ads on Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and Meta's partner apps | Meta Ad Library |
| Google Ads Transparency Center | Ads on Google Search, YouTube, Display, Shopping and Maps | Google Ads Transparency Center |
| TikTok Ad Library and Creative Center | TikTok ads shown in Europe, plus TikTok's top ads by industry | TikTok ads |
| X Ads Repository | Ads shown on X in Europe | X Ads Repository |
| Reddit Ads Inspiration Library | Top performing Reddit ads by industry and objective | Reddit ads |
| Microsoft Ad Library | Ads on Bing and Microsoft's network shown in Europe | Microsoft Ad Library |
Borrow the angle, keep your voice
The point isn't to copy anyone. Revnu uses competitor ads to learn what your market responds to, then writes ads from your own proof, your own customers and your own offer. Ask it to "rewrite the angle for us, don't copy it", and it does exactly that.
Tip
Prefer to browse? The Ad Library tab on Ads is a gallery of real LinkedIn ads from leading companies, refreshed every day. Press Recreate on any ad and Revnu writes your own version, with a fresh image to match.
