Working With Revnu

Changed What You Sell? Get Revnu Pitching the New Thing

What to do when you pivot, change your offer or retire a product. Rewrite Memory, put the old pitch on Never Say, stop or rewrite the old sequences, update the AI visibility questions you track, fix live posts, and what to check when Revnu still pitches the old thing.

If you changed what you sell, rewrite your Memory first, then tell Revnu in chat to stop and rewrite the old sequences.

Note

Memory changes what Revnu writes next. It doesn't rewrite sequences, drafts or posts that already exist. Those need their own steps below.

What do I do when we pivot?

Work through these in order. The first two are quick and stop most of the old pitch.

  1. Rewrite Memory

Open Settings > Memory and edit three files, saving each one:

    • Your About file (the first file, titled with your business name): what you sell now, in a few plain sentences.

    • Who We Sell To: the new buyer. This is what the next lead search uses.

    • Product Facts: the new product, its price and what it does. Add a line for the old one, such as "We no longer sell the agency service. Never offer it."

  2. Put the old pitch on Never Say

On the same page, add the old product names, old claims and old prices to Never Say, one per line. Leave out your company name if it hasn't changed. Revnu won't put these in a post, and a sequence that mentions one waits for your approval.

  3. Tell Revnu in chat

    For example:

We pivoted from bookkeeping for agencies to payroll for restaurants. Stop the old sequences and rewrite them for the new offer.

Revnu reads your new Memory and writes new copy. With Start Sequences on Just Do It, the Pro default, a rewrite goes live on its own, unless it's your only approved sequence. On Ask Me First, the rewrite waits for you, and that sequence shouldn't send until you approve the new copy.

    Tip

To read every rewrite before it goes out, switch Start Sequences to Ask Me First in Settings > Agent before you ask.

  4. Check each campaign's sequence

On Leads, pick the campaign, then click the N Steps pill next to it. The pill shows its state:

    • Needs Approval: new copy is waiting for you. Read it, then press Approve.

    • Retired: nobody new starts it, but people already on it finish their remaining steps. If those steps carry the old pitch, ask Revnu to rewrite them, or say "pause" to stop everything at once.

    • Live: it's still sending its current copy. If that's the old pitch, ask Revnu to rewrite it.

  5. Clear out old drafts

Open Review. Drafts written before the change keep the old text. Dismiss them with the reason "we changed what we sell", or tap Comment and ask for a rewrite.

  6. Update the questions you track

Open Visibility > Tracked Prompts. Remove questions about the old product and add the ones your new buyers ask. Or ask in chat: "stop tracking the agency questions and track 'payroll software for restaurants'." See AI visibility.

  7. Fix what's already live

Ask Revnu: "find every blog post that pitches the old product and fix it." Edits to live pages follow your Blog Posts setting.

Two more if they apply:

  • Leads that no longer fit. Ask Revnu: "move every lead who only fits the old offer to Declined." Declined leads leave the All tab and aren't contacted.

  • Ads for the old product. Say "pause all my ads", then ask for new ones.

Do I need to pause first?

Only if nothing with the old pitch may go out from now on. Say "pause" in chat and Revnu cancels queued email and sets every approval switch to Ask Me First, so all new work waits for you while you rewrite. Pause doesn't stop live ads. See Pause or stop everything for the full list, and how to resume.

Revnu still pitches the old thing. What do I check?

Go down this list. It's almost always one of these.

  1. The Memory text. Open Settings > Memory and read your About file, Who We Sell To and Product Facts. If the old wording is still there, Revnu still reads it. Edit it and save. Ask Revnu "what do you have in Product Facts about our offer?" and it reads Memory back to you.

  2. The sequence copy. A sequence is fixed text. Changing Memory doesn't change it. Open the N Steps pill and read the steps. If they're old, ask Revnu to rewrite that sequence.

  3. A held card in Review. When Revnu's background Memory update wants to change or remove a rule you wrote, such as a line in Who We Sell To, it doesn't save that part. It sends a card instead, titled Your Agent Wants to Change a Rule. Until you tap Approve, the old line stays. Keep the Old Rule leaves it as it is.

  4. Drafts made before the change. Anything already waiting in Review was written from the old Memory. Dismiss it or ask for a rewrite.

  5. Pages already published. Posts and pages don't update themselves. Ask Revnu to find and fix them.

What you'll see

  • The note under each Memory file says it's saved and Revnu uses it from its next turn.

  • A sequence waiting for your approval shows Needs Approval on its N Steps pill.

  • New drafts in Review use the new offer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Usually one of three things: the old wording is still in Settings > Memory, an old sequence is still sending its fixed copy, or drafts written before the change are still in Review. Rewrite Memory, ask Revnu to rewrite the old sequences, and dismiss old drafts. Also check Review for a card titled "Your Agent Wants to Change a Rule".
