How Do I Find Companies Opening a New Location or Entering a New Country?

A GTM play for Revnu. A company opening an office, store, clinic or site, or hiring in a new country for the first time, needs local suppliers, staff and services all at once. Revnu finds the openings from job posts, news and new listings, and writes about getting the new site running.

Opening a new office, store, clinic or country means buying everything again: space, fit-out, staff, payroll, IT, insurance, local marketing. Revnu finds companies expanding, from their first job posts in a new place, their announcements and their new listings, and writes about getting the new site running.

Why it works

Expansion comes with a deadline, the opening day, and a budget that's already been approved. The people running it are stretched and need suppliers who know the local market. A first job post in a new country is often the earliest public sign, weeks before any announcement.

How to run it

  1. Pick the expansion. "US software companies hiring in the UK for the first time", "restaurant groups opening in Manchester", "clinics opening a second site".

  2. Find the signal. Revnu reads job posts by location, company news and new listings, and notes the date and source.

  3. Check it's new. Revnu checks the company had no presence there before.

  4. Find the person. Whoever leads the expansion: country manager, head of operations or founder.

  5. Write about the opening. Name the new place and offer the part of getting it running that you handle.

The prompt

Find [kind of company] that are expanding into [city or country]: their first job posts there in the last 60 days, an office or site announcement, or a new listing. Check they had no presence there before. Find whoever leads the expansion and their work email, and write an email that names the new location and offers help with [what we do for new sites].

Try this in Revnu

Each lead keeps the job post, announcement or listing on its Signals tab. Your first sequence waits for your approval in Review.

Run it every week

Every Monday, find companies that posted their first jobs in [country] last week and add the ones that fit our buyer to the Expansion campaign.

Set it up as a workflow once and it runs on its own. See recurring work with workflows and the workflows API.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does Revnu spot an expansion early?

Job posts are usually first. A company posting roles in a country where it has no staff is about to open there. Revnu checks the company's people and offices to confirm it's new.

Does this work for local businesses?

Yes. Ask for "restaurant groups opening a new site in Leeds" or "dental groups adding a location", and Revnu checks news, listings and the company's own website.

Who sells well with this play?

Office space and fit-out, recruiting, employer of record and payroll, legal and accounting, IT setup, local marketing agencies, and equipment suppliers.

Who should I email?

The person leading the expansion. At a small company that's the founder. At a larger one it's often a new country manager, who is also new in role.

Can I combine this with other signals?

Yes. "Raised in the last six months and hiring in the UK for the first time" finds expansions with fresh budget behind them.
