Watches: Get Told When Something Changes
Ask Revnu to watch a competitor's pricing page, your website tracking, ad spend or anything else, and it checks every few minutes and acts the moment something changes. Nothing to set up.
A watch is a check Revnu runs on its own clock. Tell it what to watch for, and it writes a small check that runs every few minutes. When the check trips, Revnu wakes up, does what you agreed, and tells you. A quiet watch messages no one.
Workflows run on a schedule (recurring work). Watches run when something happens.
Set one up
Ask in chat, in your own words:
Watch Acme's pricing page and tell me the day they change their prices.
Let me know if conversions stop coming in from the website.
Keep an eye on our ad spend. If a campaign stops spending, find out why.
Revnu writes the check, runs it once to make sure it works, and replies with what it's watching and how often. You don't install or configure anything.
Revnu also sets up watches on its own when a quiet failure would cost you, such as after it connects your website tracking or launches an ad campaign.
What Revnu can watch
Any public web page. A competitor's pricing page, changelog, careers page or blog. Revnu remembers what the page said last time and trips when it changes. It can't read pages behind a login.
Your website tracking. Whether visits and conversions are still arriving from the Revnu tag and your server events.
Your results. Sends, replies, booked calls, ad spend and visits.
An ad campaign. Its spend, clicks and conversions.
Outbound email. Sends, replies and your sending inboxes.
Google Search. Clicks and impressions from Search Console.
Your leads. Read fresh each time, so new leads are watched too.
Revnu judges "something changed" against your account's own normal, such as your usual weekday pattern, rather than a fixed number of hours. That keeps false alarms down.
When a watch trips
Revnu wakes up and does what you agreed when you set it up. For a competitor's price rise, that might be drafting an alternatives page and a switching campaign (competitor price increase play). For broken tracking, it finds the cause and tells you what to fix.
A watch trips once. It won't fire again until things are back to normal.
What Revnu does next follows your approval settings, the same as any other work. Spending money always waits for your yes.
See, change or stop your watches
"What are you watching?" lists them.
"Check Acme's page once a day instead" changes how often.
"Stop watching Acme's pricing page" removes it.
A watch runs between every 5 minutes and once a week. Revnu picks a sensible interval, such as daily for a page that changes rarely.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can Revnu monitor my competitors?
Yes. Ask it to watch a competitor's pricing page, changelog or any other public page, and it tells you when the page changes and drafts a response if you want one. Pair it with the competitor price increase and alternative pages plays.
How is a watch different from a workflow?
A workflow runs on a schedule, such as every Monday. A watch runs when something happens, such as a competitor changing their prices.
How is a watch different from a webhook?
With a webhook, your own system tells Revnu something happened. With a watch, Revnu checks for itself, so nothing has to be wired up on your side.
Can a watch read a page behind a login?
No. Watches read public pages and your own Revnu data only.
What happens if a watch breaks?
If a check errors three times in a row, Revnu pauses it and fixes it.
