How to make ads with AI

To make ads with AI, start with a clear brief: who the buyer is, the problem you solve, your proof and the one action you want. Have the AI write variations for each channel, cut anything vague or untrue, then launch a few distinct angles with conversion tracking in place. Judge each ad on sign-ups or sales rather than clicks, and replace the losers with new versions of the winners.

  1. 01

Write the brief before the prompt

AI ad copy is only as specific as what you give it. Write down the buyer (job, situation, what they've tried), the one problem this ad is about, your strongest proof (a sourced number, a known customer, a guarantee), the offer and the single action you want. Paste in customer reviews or phrases from sales calls too, since buyers' own words make the strongest ads.

  2. 02

    Ask for angles, not rewordings

Ask for ads built on different reasons to buy: the pain of the current way, the outcome they get, a comparison with the usual alternative, social proof, and urgency if it is real. When one angle wins, you learn something about your buyer. Ten rewordings of the same message only tell you which synonym performed, which rarely carries over to the next ad.

  3. 03

Fit each ad to its channel

Each platform has its own format and limits. Google responsive search ads take up to 15 headlines of 30 characters and 4 descriptions of 90. LinkedIn feed ads need a short intro line and a clear image. Reddit ads read best in a plain, community voice. Prompt for each channel separately, give the AI the character limits, and count the characters yourself.

  4. 04

Make the image match the message

For image ads, the picture has to stop the scroll and make sense even if nobody reads the copy. A product screenshot with one highlighted result, a single bold line of text, or a real photo of the buyer's situation usually beats generic stock. Generate several options, keep text on the image short, and check each platform's size and text rules.

  5. 05

    Check every claim before launch

AI will happily invent numbers, awards and features. Read each ad and remove anything you can't prove. Check the platform's ad policies for your category, especially finance, health and employment, and make sure the landing page says the same thing as the ad. A mismatch between ad and page wastes clicks and can get ads disapproved.

  6. 06

    Launch small, measure, replace

Set up conversion tracking first, so each platform knows what a sign-up or sale looks like. Launch three to five ads per channel on a budget you can afford to learn from, and give them time to gather results. Then pause the weakest, write new variations of the strongest angle and launch again. Repeat every couple of weeks.

AI ad examples by channel

Google search ad

Headline 1: [Outcome] for [Type of Company] Headline 2: [Do the Job] Without [Usual Pain] Headline 3: [Proof You Can Back Up] Description 1: [Product] [does the job] so your team can [outcome]. Set up in [time]. Description 2: [Offer, e.g. Book a demo] and see [specific result] on your own [data or site]. Tip: write 10 to 15 headlines under 30 characters each and let Google test the combinations.

LinkedIn sponsored post

Intro: [Job title]s spend [time] a week on [task]. That's [cost in plain terms]. [Product] [does the task] using [what they already have], so [outcome]. [One line of proof: a customer and a result, if you can share it.] Headline: [Outcome] without [pain] Button: [Learn more / Book a demo] Image: a screenshot of [the result screen] with one line of text: [outcome].

Reddit ad

Headline: We built [product] because [honest reason] Body: If you've ever [specific frustrating moment, in the community's own words], this is for you. [Product] [does X]. No [thing the community dislikes, e.g. sales calls]. Happy to answer questions in the comments. Tip: write like a member of r/[community], not like a brand. Polished ad-speak stands out there for the wrong reasons.

X ad

Post: [A surprising, true one-liner about the problem]. We built [product] to [do the job]. [Short proof or demo line.] [Link] Card headline: [Outcome] in [time] Tip: an ad that reads like a normal post from the founder fits the feed better than one that reads like a banner.

Why Revnu for making ads

Generating ad copy is quick. Knowing which ads are working, and moving money to them, is the job. Revnu writes the ads, launches them on the channels where your buyers are and keeps the budget on what brings in customers.

Frequently asked questions

Can it spend money without asking?

No. You set the budget, and launches wait for your approval unless you choose otherwise.

Can AI make video ads?

Yes. Current AI tools can write scripts, generate voiceovers and assemble short video ads from a product page or a few clips. The results work for quick tests, but footage of your real product and real customers usually looks more trustworthy than fully generated scenes. Revnu writes the copy and images for its ads and doesn't make video.

Are AI-generated ads allowed on Google and Meta?

Yes. Both platforms accept ads written or designed with AI and review them against the same policies as any other ad. Some categories carry extra rules: election and political ads, for example, must disclose realistic synthetic or digitally altered images and video. The advertiser is responsible for every claim, however the ad was made.

How many ad variations should I test at once?

Fewer than you might think. Three to five ads per ad group or audience is enough to see a difference without splitting a small budget so thin that no ad gathers enough results to judge. Make the variations different angles rather than small rewordings, and add new ones only after you pause the weakest.

How does Revnu make and run ads?

It reads your website, picks the channels where your buyers spend time and writes several ads for each, on Google, LinkedIn, Reddit, X, Microsoft and TikTok. Launches wait for your approval and stay inside the budget you set. Then it judges each ad on sign-ups and calls, pauses the losers and moves budget to the winners.

Is this free?

You start with a free trial. Revnu asks for a card when you sign up and starts on what you typed straight away. After the trial, plans start at $99 a month. Cancel any time in Settings.

Does anything run before I sign up?

No. Nothing is checked or generated on this page. Revnu does the work inside your account, where it can read your website, keep what it finds and carry on from there.
