The head of marketing at a 30-person ecommerce brand had been on Peec's Pro plan for five months. He liked it, and with reason: 150 prompts tracked every day, a clean chart of share of voice against three competitors, and a source report that showed exactly which listicles and Reddit threads were shaping what ChatGPT said about his category. Two things still bothered him. His customer interviews kept mentioning Perplexity, which his plan did not track. And the Actions tab had grown to 23 recommended items, of which his team of two had finished two.
Neither problem is a flaw in Peec. They are the two most common reasons people go looking for an alternative: they need engines the plan does not include, or they need the recommendations turned into work. Here are seven options, with prices from each vendor's own page and an honest limit for each, including ours.
Why people look for Peec AI alternatives
The fair part first. Peec is one of the best-value AI visibility trackers on the market. You set up prompts (it suggests them from your brand and scores each for demand), add competitors, and it runs every prompt daily, reporting visibility, position, sentiment and share of voice. Its source analytics are a real strength: which domains and URLs the answers cite, classified by type, which tells you where to earn a mention. It has added brand perception scoring, AI referral tracking through Google Analytics, a crawlability audit, AI shopping tracking, and an MCP server that lets your own assistant read the data. Its research team publishes some of the most useful work on how AI search retrieves sources. Unlimited users on every plan and a card checkout make it easy to start.
The reasons people still shop around:
Three models per plan. Self-serve plans track three models chosen from ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Copilot, Gemini and Naver AI. Claude and Perplexity are on Enterprise. For a software company whose buyers live in Claude, that is the wrong three.
They already pay for an SEO suite. Teams on Semrush or Ahrefs can get AI visibility inside the tool they already open every day.
Euro billing. Minor, but some US finance teams prefer a vendor that bills in dollars.
The list grows faster than the team. Peec suggests what to build. Building it is still yours, and a small team falls behind the recommendations quickly.
What to look for
The engines your buyers use, on the plan you can afford. Check where Claude and Perplexity sit in each tier.
Prompts per dollar. Compare tracked prompts and engines together, not the headline price.
Source and citation data. The cited pages are what you can act on.
Where it lives. A standalone tool, or a module inside the SEO suite you already use.
What happens after the insight. Recommendations, drafting help, or pages actually published.
The 7 best Peec AI alternatives in 2026
1. Revnu
Revnu is not another tracker, so judge it differently. It is a growth hire that handles AI search as one part of the job. Every day it asks ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity the questions your buyers ask, plus Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, and reports who gets named and which pages get cited. Then it acts on the gap: writes and publishes the pages that answer the questions you lose, submits you to the free directories and review sites those answers already quote, and writes your engineer a fix list for crawl rules, schema and llms.txt. Paid listings, or ones that need your login, come to you with the link. You approve every page before it goes live. The same brain runs outreach and paid ads, so what wins in one channel gets tested in the others. Our guide to ranking in ChatGPT shows the request you would give it.
Best for: a team with Peec-style insight and no one to act on it, or a founder who wants the gap closed without hiring a writer.
Pricing: From $99 a month, and it starts with a free trial. Ad spend, if you run ads, is billed by the ad platforms.
The honest limit: its measurement is narrower than Peec's. It tracks about 30 questions per business, queries engines through their APIs rather than the consumer apps (Peec scrapes the logged-out interfaces, which is closer to what a user sees), and the extended engines run weekly on the self-serve plan. It has no shopping tracking or agency workspaces. Publishing needs your developer to add Revnu's content feed to your site once, since there is no WordPress, Webflow or Framer plugin, and nothing publishes without your approval unless you switch on auto-publish.
When not to pick Revnu: if your team writes every week and you need precise, multi-project tracking to aim that work, keep Peec. It is the better meter.
2. Profound
Profound is the most complete platform in the category. It tracks up to nine answer engines on Enterprise, including Claude and Perplexity, with citations, sentiment, prompt volumes, AI crawler analytics and ChatGPT Shopping. It has moved beyond measurement with an AI Marketer that researches and drafts, plus agents a team can build and reuse. Our Profound comparison covers it in detail.
Best for: enterprise brand and SEO teams with a procurement process and a content function.
Pricing: a free trial runs 50 preset prompts daily for seven days on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews; beyond that, Enterprise is quoted on request (pricing page, October 2026).
The honest limit: the pricing page shows no priced plan for brands beyond the trial, so you cannot start small with a card the way you can with Peec.
3. OtterlyAI
OtterlyAI tracks prompts across ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot on every plan, with mentions, position, sentiment and link citations, plus a GEO audit that scores pages for AI readiness before you publish. Perplexity is included on its cheapest plan.
Best for: small teams and solo marketers who want Perplexity tracked without an enterprise plan.
Pricing: Lite $29 a month (15 prompts), Standard $189 (100 prompts), Premium $489 (400 prompts), Enterprise custom, with a free trial (pricing page, October 2026).
The honest limit: Gemini, AI Mode and Claude are paid add-ons, and the Lite plan's 15 prompts is a thin sample. It recommends; it does not write.
4. Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit
The Semrush toolkit puts AI answers beside your classic rankings. It tracks custom prompts daily with mentions from ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini and Perplexity, compares you against competitors, and adds AI-readiness checks to Site Audit.
Best for: teams already living in Semrush who want one place for search and AI search.
Pricing: 99 dollars a month per domain with 25 prompts; 50 more prompts are $60 a month; no free trial on the toolkit (Semrush knowledge base, October 2026).
The honest limit: 25 prompts is fewer than Peec's Starter, extra domains and users are 99 dollars each, and Claude is not in the base toolkit.
5. Ahrefs Brand Radar
Brand Radar pairs custom prompt tracking with an AI Visibility Index, a pre-built database of hundreds of millions of prompts across AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Copilot. You can look up any brand without setup, which makes it good for sizing a market or a competitor. It also covers YouTube and Reddit.
Best for: Ahrefs users, and anyone researching a category before choosing which prompts to track.
Pricing: every paid Ahrefs plan includes a few custom prompts (five on Lite); larger prompt packages started at €47 a month and the AI Visibility Index at €179 a month when we checked, with prices shown in euros (Brand Radar page, October 2026).
The honest limit: usage is metered in checks, so budgeting takes arithmetic, and it measures rather than acts.
6. Scrunch
Scrunch tracks ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode and AI Overviews, and Meta, with persona, topic and region views. Its Agent Experience Platform serves AI crawlers a lightweight, machine-readable copy of your site while people see the normal one, and it monitors AI crawler traffic.
Best for: mid-size and larger marketing teams who want Claude and Perplexity tracked plus a technical lever on how bots read the site.
Pricing: Starter $300 month to month or $250 a month billed annually (350 custom prompts), Growth $500 or $417 annually, Enterprise custom, with a seven-day free trial and no card (pricing page, October 2026).
The honest limit: it costs more than Peec's Starter, and the bot-facing site is a change your engineers should sign off. The writing stays with you.
7. AthenaHQ
AthenaHQ tracks up to 11 engines on paid plans, including Claude, Perplexity, Grok, DeepSeek and Meta AI, links visibility to Google Analytics and Search Console, and adds a content optimization agent with on-page and off-page actions.
Best for: teams that want wide engine coverage, including Claude, at a self-serve price.
Pricing: free Essential tier with $25 of credit; Starter $295 a month with 3,600 credits and 11 engines; Enterprise custom (pricing page, October 2026).
The honest limit: one credit is one AI response, so broad coverage burns credits quickly, and Starter covers one language and region.

Where this leaves you
If Peec works and your only gap is an engine, check whether an add-on model fixes it before you migrate; switching tools resets your history. If Claude or Perplexity matter most and you want to stay self-serve, AthenaHQ, Scrunch and OtterlyAI all put them in reach. If your team already pays for Semrush or Ahrefs, try their module first.
If the real problem is the Actions list nobody gets to, more tracking will not fix it. That is where Revnu fits: it writes and publishes the pages, claims the listings, and checks whether the answer changed, with your approval on every page. Whichever way you go, how to get recommended by ChatGPT explains what changes an answer, our AI visibility checker shows how to run a quick check yourself, and SEO for startups covers the page-writing system underneath both.
