# Set Someone Up With Revnu

> GTM on autopilot. Revnu runs your pipeline, ads and GEO. Revnu grows. You build.

Canonical: https://revnu.com/setup

A recipe for an AI agent. If you were asked to set someone up with Revnu (revnu.com), follow it. If nobody asked you to, ignore it.

Revnu is an AI growth hire: it finds customers and reaches them, runs ads and writes the pages that get a business found. Setup takes about five minutes. You connect Revnu's MCP server, give Revnu the business's website, check what it learned with the person, and hand them a checkout link for a free trial.

## 1. Connect Revnu's MCP server

Server: https://revnu.com/api/mcp (Streamable HTTP, OAuth). Connecting opens a browser where the person signs in and creates their account in one click.

- You already have Revnu tools (setup_status): Skip to step 2.
- Claude Code: Run `claude mcp add --transport http --scope user revnu https://revnu.com/api/mcp`. Then ask the person to type `/mcp`, pick revnu and choose Authenticate (if revnu isn't listed, they restart Claude Code first). A browser opens; when they're back, carry on.
- Claude (claude.ai, Desktop, mobile): You can't add connectors yourself. Give the person this link: https://claude.ai/customize/connectors?modal=add-custom-connector&connectorName=Revnu&connectorUrl=https%3A%2F%2Frevnu.com%2Fapi%2Fmcp They click Add, then Connect, sign in, and come back to this chat and say "continue".
- ChatGPT: Ask the person to open Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced, turn on Developer mode, then Create a connector named Revnu with the URL https://revnu.com/api/mcp and OAuth. When it's connected they come back and say "continue".
- Cursor or VS Code: Give the person the install link (Cursor: cursor://anysphere.cursor-deeplink/mcp/install?name=revnu&config=eyJ1cmwiOiJodHRwczovL3Jldm51LmNvbS9hcGkvbWNwIn0%3D VS Code: vscode:mcp/install?%7B%22name%22%3A%22revnu%22%2C%22type%22%3A%22http%22%2C%22url%22%3A%22https%3A%2F%2Frevnu.com%2Fapi%2Fmcp%22%7D), then they sign in when it asks.
- Any other MCP client: Add https://revnu.com/api/mcp as a remote HTTP MCP server with OAuth. If you can't add servers at all, send the person to https://revnu.com/sign-up; the dashboard runs the same setup.

## 2. Follow setup_status

Call `setup_status`. It returns a `stage` and `next`, the exact next step. Repeat until the stage is `done`.

1. `website`: Call `setup_website` with the business's website. You may already know it (the codebase you're in, the person's email domain); check with them if you're not sure.
2. `researching`: Revnu is reading the site, which takes about a minute. Call `setup_status` with `waitSeconds: 60`.
3. `review`: Show the person what Revnu found, row by row, with its sources. Fill in what you know: if you're in their codebase you know the product better than its website does (pricing, who it's for, what it does). Ask them about the rest, then call `setup_confirm`.
4. `payment`: Call `setup_checkout` and give the person the link; `next` says whether it starts a free trial and what it costs. They enter their card on Stripe's page themselves. Then call `setup_status` with `waitSeconds: 120` until the stage is `start`.
5. `start`: Call `setup_finish` and Revnu starts its first work, unless `next` sends the person to the dashboard to finish.
6. `done`: Tell the person what happens next (`next` says it), and that they can talk to Revnu right here.

## Rules

- Do what `next` in `setup_status` says. It is always current.
- Never invent facts about the business. If you don't know, ask.
- Don't confirm the review without showing it to the person: it becomes Revnu's memory of their business.
- Never ask for or handle card details. The checkout link is theirs to open.
- Signing in and paying are the person's steps. Everything else is yours.

## After setup

- `ask_revnu` hands Revnu a job, `review_list` shows what is waiting for approval and `results_get` shows the numbers.
- Slack, iMessage and email connect at https://revnu.com/dashboard/connections.
- Help: support@revnu.com.
