# How Do I Prospect on LinkedIn With Revnu?

> A step-by-step recipe for LinkedIn prospecting with Revnu. Connect your LinkedIn, tell Revnu who to reach, approve the sequence once, and it sends invites and messages as you at a safe pace. What to send Revnu, what you approve and how fast it goes.

Connect your LinkedIn, tell Revnu who to reach, and approve the sequence once. Revnu sends connection requests and messages from your account, as you, starting at 5 invites a day in week one and rising to at most 17 a day from week four.

You need your own LinkedIn account, and a buyer description or a list of people. LinkedIn steps need a LinkedIn profile on each lead. One account sends at most 85 invites a week at full pace, so LinkedIn suits a defined list of people you really want to reach.

## Step by step

### 1. Connect LinkedIn

Open **Connections > Reach People** and press **Connect** on the **LinkedIn DMs** row. Read the note, tick the box and press **Connect LinkedIn**. Then sign in to LinkedIn on the screen that opens. LinkedIn may ask for a code or a check in its app.

The row then says **Connected as** and your name. Connecting never starts a campaign by itself. See [connect LinkedIn](/docs/connect-linkedin).

### 2. Tell Revnu who to reach

> connect with heads of growth at series a fintechs in london, then follow up once they accept

Already running email to a campaign? Add LinkedIn to it instead:

> add a connection request and a linkedin message to my agencies campaign, and drop the second email

Revnu writes a sequence with LinkedIn steps and puts the people in it. Lead research doesn't use your LinkedIn account.

### 3. Read the steps

Open **Leads**, pick the campaign, then press the **N Steps** pill next to it.

- **Connection Request.** Revnu sends invites with **No Note** by default, because free LinkedIn accounts only get a few notes a month. Pick **Note** to add one, up to 200 characters.
- **LinkedIn Message.** Pick **Template** to write it yourself, or **Write It for Me** to let Revnu write one for each person.

To make it sound like you, paste how you'd write it: "make it sound like me, here's how i'd write it: …". Short and plain works best on LinkedIn.

### 4. Approve it once

Press **Approve**. Every step of that sequence then sends to every person on it, now and later, without asking again. Your first sequence always waits for your yes, whatever your settings say.

### 5. Watch it go out

Invites go out on weekdays, 9:00 to 18:00 in your account's time zone, a few minutes apart and never more than 8 an hour. To see who's been invited, open the sequence window, then the **…** menu, then **Recipients**. Each person shows how far they've got, such as "1 of 3 sent".

Or ask: "how many linkedin invites went out this week, and how many accepted?"

### 6. Answer replies

Replies land in **Inbox** (switch it to **LinkedIn**) and on the lead's row on **Leads**. Revnu tells you who replied and puts a suggested answer in the same message. Say "send", or say what to change. Nothing goes out until you say send.

> **Warning:** Saying "pause" holds every LinkedIn send, sequence steps included, until you resume. To stop LinkedIn for good, switch off **LinkedIn Sending** in **Settings > Agent**.

**Invites and messages outside a sequence**

One-off invites and messages you ask for outside a sequence follow the **Connection Requests** and **Messages** switches in **Settings > Agent**. On Pro, both start on **Ask Me First**. See [LinkedIn invites, messages and replies](/docs/linkedin-outreach).

## What to expect, and when

| Week | Invites a day | Invites a week |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 5 | 25 |
| 2 | 10 | 50 |
| 3 | 15 | 70 |
| 4 and after | 17 | 85 |

- **Week one:** about 4 or 5 invites a day. Approve 40 people on a Monday and roughly 20 to 25 have an invite by Friday. The rest start next week.
- **Acceptances:** they trickle in over days. LinkedIn can take up to about 8 hours to show one.
- **The message after they accept** goes out on a later weekday.
- **No accept after 10 working days:** the sequence moves on, for example to an email step.
- **When to judge it:** after two to three weeks, not a few days.

The limits are fixed. Nobody, including Revnu's team, can raise them.

## If it doesn't work

| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| Nothing has sent | Check the **LinkedIn DMs** row says **Connected**, **LinkedIn Sending** is on in **Settings > Agent**, and the **N Steps** pill says **Live** |
| A lead says **Can't Start**, "No LinkedIn profile" | Ask Revnu "find the missing linkedin profiles for this campaign" |
| The LinkedIn row says **Paused** | LinkedIn pushed back, so Revnu stopped for at least 72 hours. See [why LinkedIn sending stopped](/docs/linkedin-paused) |
| Invites go out at odd hours | Your time zone is wrong. Say "change my time zone to Europe/London", or wherever you are |
| Approve fails in Claude or ChatGPT | LinkedIn cards can only be approved in the dashboard, in **Review** |

## Frequently asked questions

### Is my LinkedIn account safe?

Revnu is built to keep it safe, with low daily caps, a four-week ramp, weekday working hours and a full stop of at least 72 hours when LinkedIn pushes back. You can also keep LinkedIn read-only.

### Can my cofounder's LinkedIn send too?

For one-off invites and messages you ask for by name, yes. Each teammate connects their own LinkedIn as a seat, with its own limits. A sequence always sends its LinkedIn steps from the account owner's LinkedIn.

### Does Revnu post on LinkedIn for me?

Revnu drafts your LinkedIn posts and sends you a share link. You tap it and the post goes out from your own account.

### Should my connection requests have a note?

Revnu sends them without one by default, because free accounts only get a few notes a month. Revnu has no data showing a note raises or lowers acceptance. Try a short note on part of your list if you want to compare.

### Can one sequence use LinkedIn and email?

Yes. A sequence can mix email steps, connection requests and LinkedIn messages. A reply on either channel stops the sequence for that person.
