Revnu finds the companies that need you this week, not just the ones that fit on paper. Tell it what a great customer looks like and what's happening at them right now: they just raised, they're hiring for the role you help, they run the tool you plug into. Revnu finds them, checks the signal on their own pages, and saves each one to **Leads** with the evidence attached.

> Find 25 software companies in the US that raised a Series A in the last 90 days, use HubSpot and are hiring account executives. Tell me why each one needs us now.

## Where the companies come from

Revnu starts with its own company database: more than 40 million companies, with industry, size and location for tens of millions of them, plus funding, investors and technology wherever they're known. On top of that sits a stream of live buying signals: fresh funding rounds, new job posts, the tools a company runs, and what its people post on LinkedIn.

Anything Revnu doesn't hold in-house, it fills with waterfall enrichment. It asks third-party B2B data providers one after another until the gap is filled, and saves every answer back into its own database, so the data gets richer with every search you run.

Then Revnu reads each company's own website, careers page and news before it decides the company fits. A filter gets a company onto the shortlist. The company's own pages get it onto your list.

## Every filter you can search by

Mix as many as you like in one message. Revnu keeps only the companies that match all of them.

## Funding: fresh money, fresh budget

A company that just closed a round is about to hire, buy tools and spend on growth. Revnu matches the round type, how recently it closed, how much the company has raised in total, and who backed it.

> Find seed and Series A fintech companies that raised in the last 90 days. The CFO or a founder.

> Find companies backed by Accel or Index Ventures that closed a Series B this year. The VP of people, because they're about to hire fast.

> Find every company in Y Combinator's latest batch that sells to developers. A founder at each.

## Hiring: the clearest signal there is

A job post tells you exactly what a company is about to spend money on. Revnu searches live job posts by title, by words in the description, and by how recently they went up, and it reads the post itself before it uses it as a reason to reach out.

> Find B2B software companies in the UK that posted a job for their first sales development rep in the last 60 days. The founder or head of sales.

> Find companies whose job posts mention "Salesforce migration". Whoever runs revenue operations.

> Find e-commerce brands hiring a performance marketer this month. They're about to spend on ads. Head of growth or founder.

## Technology: plug in, replace, or win the switch

What a company already runs tells you whether you plug into it, replace it or compete with it. Revnu matches detected technology and, when it matters, finds the proof: the job posts and pages where the tool shows up.

> Find Shopify stores with 11 to 50 staff that also use Klaviyo. The head of e-commerce.

> Find companies that use HubSpot but are hiring a Salesforce admin. They're mid-switch. The RevOps lead.

> Find software companies that run Stripe and have 51 to 200 employees. The head of finance.

## Industry, size, age and place

The shape of a company narrows the field fast. Describe the kind of company in words, the way its own customers would.

> Find independent veterinary practices in Ireland with 5 to 50 staff. The practice owner.

> Find logistics software companies founded since 2021 with fewer than 100 employees, in the US or Canada. A founder.

> Find accounting firms in Manchester or Leeds that offer R&D tax credits. A partner.

## Companies spending on ads right now

A company running LinkedIn ads on a topic has budget and a goal it's paying to hit. Revnu searches the LinkedIn Ad Library by keyword or advertiser.

> Find companies running LinkedIn ads about sales forecasting right now. Show me the ads, then find their head of marketing.

## Companies like your best customers

Name two or three customers you'd love more of, and Revnu looks for companies like them: same kind of business, similar size, similar buyers.

> Find 30 more companies like our customers [customer one] and [customer two]. Same size, same kind of buyer. Leave out anyone already in Leads.

## What every company record carries

Each company Revnu finds comes back with as much of this as is known, and the lead's **Signals** tab links the sources for every researched fact. See [what's on a lead](/docs/lead-details).

| Field | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Name and website | The company name and its main domain |
| Description | A short summary of what the company does, read from its own website when no other source has one |
| Industry and categories | Its industry, plus finer categories such as "Payments" or "Machine Vision" |
| Headcount | An employee range, or an exact count when the search needs one |
| Founded | The year the company started |
| Location | Headquarters country, city and region |
| Funding | Total raised, the latest round, its amount and the date it closed |
| Investors | Who backed the company |
| Founders | The company's founders, where known |
| Technology | Tools detected on the company, with source links when Revnu checks one |
| Revenue | An estimated revenue range, where known |
| Accelerator | Its Y Combinator batch, if it has one |
| LinkedIn | The company's LinkedIn page |
| Why now | The recent event that makes it worth contacting today, with its source |

## Stack signals for the sharpest list

One signal finds companies that might need you. Three signals find companies that need you now.

> Find Series A or B software companies in the US that raised in the last six months, use HubSpot, and are hiring account executives. The VP of sales. Leave out anyone in my customer list.

> Find UK property management firms with 11 to 200 staff, hiring a lettings negotiator, whose website shows more than one office. The managing director.

Add a line about why the signal matters, such as "they're about to spend on ads", and Revnu uses it in the first email too. See [find leads by buying signal](/docs/uc-buying-signals) for dozens more.

## Make it a weekly feed

New companies raise and post jobs every day. Put the search on a schedule and Revnu brings back only the companies that are new to it each time:

> Every Monday, find 20 new software companies that raised a seed round in the last 30 days and add them to the Seed campaign.

See [run work every day or week](/docs/recurring-work).

## Frequently asked questions

### How many companies can Revnu search?

Revnu's own database holds more than 40 million companies, and it fills any gap from third-party B2B data providers through waterfall enrichment. Every answer it buys is saved back into its own database, so coverage grows with every search.

### Can I search companies by funding, hiring and tech stack together?

Yes. Put every condition in one message, such as "raised in the last six months, uses HubSpot and is hiring account executives". Revnu keeps only companies that match all of them, and shows the evidence for each signal on the lead.

### How fresh is the company data?

Funding rounds and job posts carry dates, so you can ask for "in the last 30 days". Before it saves a lead, Revnu also reads the company's live website, careers page and news, so the reason it gives is current.

### Does Revnu tell me where each fact came from?

Yes. Open a lead on Leads and go to its Signals tab. Each researched detail, such as the Why Now, comes with a one-line reason and links to the pages Revnu read.

### Can Revnu find companies in a specific city or region?

Yes. Name a country, a region such as "Texas", or cities such as "Manchester or Leeds". Pair a city with its country for the cleanest list.

### Can I give Revnu my own list of companies?

Yes. Paste the names or website addresses, attach a spreadsheet, or share a link to a directory or event list. Revnu researches each company, finds the right person and saves them to Leads. See [import leads](/docs/import-leads).

### Can Revnu find companies like my best customers?

Yes. Name two or three of them and Revnu looks for companies of the same kind, size and audience. Say who to leave out too, such as existing customers or competitors.
