# Text Revnu on iMessage > Revnu's iMessage number, why it texts you and how to stop it, who sees your messages, how to connect from any country, what to do if your iPhone texts from an Apple ID email, and who that unknown +1 415 number is. Save your mobile number in Revnu, text that number from your iPhone, and Revnu replies there like a person would. You need an iPhone with iMessage turned on. Revnu's number only sends and receives iMessages, so Android phones and plain SMS can't reach it. Without an iPhone, use [Slack](/docs/connect-slack) or the dashboard chat. Your number can be from any country. ## Steps ### 1. Open the iMessage setup In the dashboard, open **Connections**. Find **iMessage** under **Talk to Revnu** and press **Connect**. Pick your country Check the country flag. It starts on a guess from where you are and your browser's language, so it can be wrong. Pick your country from the list. ### 3. Type your mobile number Leave off the leading 0. A French number `06 12 34 56 78` becomes `6 12 34 56 78` after +33. Press **Continue**. During sign-up, your saved number then shows with a **Change** link next to it. ### 4. Text Revnu Press **Open Messages**, scan the QR code from your computer, or text +1 (415) 373-8405 yourself. "Hi" is enough. > **Tip:** Save the number as "Revnu" in your contacts, so you know who's texting. ## What you'll see - Revnu replies in Messages within moments. - During sign-up, the page shows **It Heard You** and **Continue** lights up. - The **iMessage** row in **Connections** shows **Connected** and your number. Your iMessage thread and the dashboard chat are one conversation with the same Revnu. Anything Revnu sent in one, you can pick up in the other. You can send PDFs, documents and photos by iMessage too. Revnu can't hear voice notes or watch videos, so type instead. See [what files Revnu can read](/docs/talk-to-revnu). ## Who sees my iMessages with Revnu? - **What's stored:** your phone number and the messages you and Revnu send each other, kept with your Revnu account. - **Who processes them:** an iMessage delivery provider carries the messages, and the AI model providers named in the [privacy policy](/privacy) read them so Revnu can reply. Those model providers don't train on your data. The full vendor list is shared under a confidentiality agreement: email support@revnu.com. - **If you'd rather not use iMessage:** talk to Revnu in [Slack](/docs/connect-slack) or the dashboard chat instead. You saved this phone number in Revnu, at sign-up or in **Connections**. Revnu sends its updates to the channel you last wrote to it on, and right after sign-up that's often your phone. ## How do I stop Revnu texting me? | You want | Do this | |---|---| | Updates somewhere else | Write to Revnu from the dashboard chat or Slack. Its updates follow you there | | No daily update | Text "turn off the daily update". Revnu still messages you when it needs you | | A different number | Press **Change Number** on the **iMessage** row in **Connections** | You can't remove your own number from **Connections**, only change it. A follow-up Revnu promised in an iMessage conversation may still arrive there. Teammates' numbers can be removed under **Manage**. ## What if my iPhone texts from my Apple ID email? Some iPhones send iMessages from an email address instead of the phone number. Revnu can't match an email to your account on its own, so it replies with a link instead: ### 1. Tap the link Revnu texts back "Tap here to connect your Revnu account". Tap it. ### 2. Sign in to Revnu Sign in with your Revnu account. ### 3. Confirm Check the address and the business shown, and confirm. Revnu then picks up the messages you already sent, so you don't have to repeat them. The link works for 30 minutes. If it expires, text Revnu again for a new one. ## Who is texting me from +1 415 373 8405? That's Revnu, the growth hire you signed up for at revnu.com. It's the same Revnu you see in the dashboard. Once you have teammates, press **Manage** on the **iMessage** row in **Connections**. Each person's texts are recognised as theirs, and Revnu can text a specific teammate when a message is for them. Invite teammates first in **Settings > Account > Team**. ## If it doesn't work No reply to your text? Check these in order: ### 1. Check the number Look at the saved number in **Connections**. If it says "isn't a real number", press **Fix Number**. Otherwise press **Change Number**. Pick the right country and enter it again without the leading 0. ### 2. Check for a connect link If your iPhone texts from your Apple ID email, you get a "Tap here to connect" link back. Tap it and sign in.
