# Add Teammates

> How to add a teammate in Settings > Account > Team, the invite email they get and how they sign in (Google or an emailed code), how to scope a trial to one channel, where roles stand, how to have Revnu message a teammate for you, what each person's chat shows, why a shared Slack channel mixes requests, and how to keep work apart.

A teammate gets their own login to your account and works with the same Revnu: one Memory, the same leads, the same Review list and the same history. There are no roles. Everyone can use the whole dashboard.

> **Note:** When you add a teammate, Revnu emails them an invite from info@revnu.com. It says who added them and has a **Join the Team** button that opens sign-in.

## How do I add a teammate?

### 1. Open the Team card

Open **Settings** and choose the **Account** tab. Find the **Team** card.

### 2. Add their address

Tap **Add Teammate**. Enter the email address they'll sign in with, and their name if you like. Tap **Add Teammate** again to save. They appear with **Invited** and "Waiting for first sign-in".

### 3. They sign in from the invite

They press **Join the Team** in the email, or go to [revnu.com/sign-in](/sign-in), and sign in with the exact address you added, either way:

- **Google**: they tap the Google button, if the address is a Google account.
- **Emailed code**: for Microsoft 365, Outlook or any other mailbox, they type the address and Revnu emails them a sign-in code.

They land on your account's dashboard, and their row changes to "Joined" with the date.

Only the account owner can add, rename or remove people. The owner's row is marked **Owner**. An account can have up to 25 people.

## How does each teammate talk to Revnu?

Each person links their own way in, so Revnu knows who is talking and can message the right person:

- **iMessage**: in **Connections**, open **iMessage** and tap **Manage**. Each teammate adds their own phone number. Texts from that number are recognised as them.
- **Slack**: in **Connections > Slack**, the **People** section matches each teammate to their Slack account. When Revnu writes to one person in Slack, it @-mentions them.
- **Dashboard chat**: every teammate has it already, under their own login.

Revnu replies where each person wrote to it. When it has news for someone in particular, it messages that one person.

See [Talk to Revnu in Slack, iMessage or the dashboard](/docs/talk-to-revnu).

## Can Revnu pass a message to a teammate?

Yes. Ask Revnu to tell someone something and it messages that person directly, wherever they talk to it: their Slack (with an @-mention), their own iMessage number or their dashboard chat. You don't have to pick the channel. When they reply, Revnu knows what they're answering, so a one-line "ok, pause it" just works.

Some things teams ask for:

> Tell Sam the Series A sequence is live and send them the first five leads.

> When a lead from the fintech campaign replies, let Priya know.

> Ask Jordan to approve the ad budget before Friday, and remind them on Thursday if it's still waiting.

> Send Alex a summary of this week's replies every Monday morning.

> Tell Sam I'm away next week and to handle anything that needs approving.

Revnu also does this on its own when news belongs to one person. If a teammate launched a sequence from their LinkedIn, the update about it goes to them, not to the account owner.

## What does each teammate see?

**Shared by everyone on the account:** Memory, leads, sequences, Review, results, workflows, connections and history. Anything one person teaches Revnu, such as a rule or a fact, shapes the work for everyone.

**Each person's own:** their dashboard chat and their own iMessage thread with Revnu. A teammate doesn't see your dashboard chat or your texts, and you don't see theirs. For the account owner, iMessage and dashboard chat are one conversation.

**Seen by everyone:** the Slack channel where Revnu works. Everyone in the channel sees it in Slack, and everyone on the account sees those Slack messages in the dashboard too.

## Can I give a teammate limited access?

Roles and per-person permissions are in progress with our team. Today every teammate can use the whole dashboard, approve cards and change settings, and only the owner manages the team list.

Two things get you close for now:

- **Approval switches.** In **Settings > Agent**, set the kinds of work you want to check to **Ask Me First**, so they wait in Review where you can see them. See [What Revnu asks before it acts](/docs/approvals).
- **A Memory instruction.** Add a line to your About file, such as "Only Sam approves ad budgets" or "Ask Priya before changing the pricing page". Revnu reads it every time it works. It's Revnu's guidance, not a lock on the dashboard.

## How do I let a teammate trial one channel only?

There's no per-person channel lock, but a channel that isn't connected can't run. To give a colleague a trial of, say, email outreach only:

1. **Say what you want.** Tell Revnu in chat:

   > For now, only do email outreach. Don't touch LinkedIn, ads or the blog.

Add the same line to your **About** file in **Settings > Memory** (titled with your business name), so it holds for everyone on the account.
2. **Make the other work ask first.** In **Settings > Agent**, set every switch for the other channels to **Ask Me First**. For an email trial that means **Blog Posts**, **Connection Requests**, **Messages** and **Ad Tests**. Anything Revnu drafts for those channels then waits in Review.
3. **Don't connect what you're not testing.** Connect only the email inbox in **Connections**. Leave LinkedIn and ad accounts unconnected, and Revnu can't send or spend there.

When the trial has gone well, connect the next channel and change its switch.

## How does a whole team work with one Revnu?

Revnu is built for teams. Everyone shares the same leads, Memory and history, and Revnu keeps track of who asked for what.

- **Start a Slack thread for each piece of work.** Revnu runs separate threads side by side, so Sam's campaign and your blog post move forward at the same time.
- **Say whose work it is.** "For Sam's campaign, use Sam's LinkedIn" tells Revnu exactly which account to send from. Without it, Revnu works it out from who asked and whose LinkedIn is connected.
- **Use your own chat for your own work.** Your dashboard chat and iMessage are yours. The Slack channel is where the team sees everything.
- **Split approvals.** For example, one person handles email in Review and another handles blog posts.
- **Put standing decisions in Memory**, so everyone, and Revnu, works from the same rules. See [Teach Revnu your business with Memory](/docs/memory).
- **The Done tab in Review** shows everything already decided, by anyone on the team.

## Can each teammate connect their own LinkedIn or inbox?

Yes. Each person connects their own LinkedIn account from their own login, and Revnu can send from several. See [Connect LinkedIn](/docs/connect-linkedin).

An inbox a teammate connected can only be reconnected by that teammate, from their own login.

## How do I remove a teammate?

In the **Team** card in **Settings > Account**, tap **Remove** on their row and confirm. They lose access the next time they load the dashboard. You can add them back at any time.

## If it doesn't work

| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| An error says the email already has a Revnu account | That email owns a Revnu account of its own, so it can't join yours. Use another address, or email support@revnu.com |
| Your teammate signs in and lands somewhere else | They used a different address or Google account. They need to sign in with the exact address you added |
| Your teammate has no Google account | They type the address on the sign-in page and use the code Revnu emails them |
| Revnu treats your teammate's texts as yours | Their number isn't linked to them. Add it under **Connections > iMessage > Manage** |
| Your teammate didn't get the invite email | Ask them to check spam for an email from info@revnu.com. They don't need it to join: they can sign in at [revnu.com/sign-in](/sign-in) with the address you added |
| **Add Teammate** is greyed out | The account is at its limit of 25 people. Remove someone to add another |

## Frequently asked questions

### Can I invite team members to Revnu?

Yes. Go to **Settings > Account > Team**, tap **Add Teammate** and enter the email they'll sign in with. Revnu emails them an invite, and they sign in at [revnu.com/sign-in](/sign-in) with that address, using Google or an emailed code.

### Can my teammates see my chats with Revnu?

No. Your dashboard chat and your own iMessage thread are yours. The Slack channel is shared, and its messages show in everyone's dashboard. Memory, leads, Review, results and history are shared by everyone, and anything you teach Revnu shapes everyone's work.

### Is it the same agent for everyone on the team?

Yes. Everyone on the account works with one Revnu that has one Memory. It knows who is talking once each person links their iMessage number or Slack account, and it replies to each person where they wrote.

### Can a teammate without a Google account sign in?

Yes. They type the address you added on [revnu.com/sign-in](/sign-in) and Revnu emails them a sign-in code. That works for Microsoft 365, Outlook and any other mailbox.

### Can I limit what a teammate can do?

Roles and permissions are in progress with our team. For now, use approval switches so the work you care about waits in Review, and add a Memory line such as "Only Sam approves ad budgets" for Revnu to follow.

### Can Revnu message my teammate for me?

Yes. Say "tell Sam the sequence is live" and Revnu messages Sam wherever they talk to it, with an @-mention in Slack. When Sam replies, Revnu knows what they're answering.

### How many people can I add?

Up to 25 people per account. Only the account owner can add or remove them.

### Can two of us use our own LinkedIn accounts?

Yes. Each teammate connects their own LinkedIn from their own login. See Connect LinkedIn for limits and how sending is shared between accounts.

### Why didn't my teammate get an invite email?

You let them know yourself. Tell them to go to [revnu.com/sign-in](/sign-in) and sign in with the exact address you added, with Google or an emailed code.

### Can I let a colleague trial just one channel?

Yes, by setting it up that way. Tell Revnu which channel to work on, set the other approval switches to Ask Me First, and connect only that channel. A channel that isn't connected can't run.
