# Social Posts: LinkedIn, X, Reddit, HN and More > Revnu writes posts for LinkedIn, X, Threads, Bluesky, Reddit, Hacker News and your Google Business Profile in your voice, and hands you a one-tap share link to press Post. Help with comments once a Show HN or Reddit post is live, captions for Instagram, Pinterest and Facebook, images, and how to switch a channel off for good. The link opens that platform with your post ready, and you press Post. It can also write posts for your Google Business Profile, which you paste in yourself. Revnu doesn't publish or schedule social posts itself, on any platform. ## How do I get a post written? ### 1. Ask for a post Ask in chat, in iMessage, Slack or the dashboard. For example: "write an X post about the launch" or "draft a Show HN for this". Revnu reads your own best posts first, so the draft sounds like you and doesn't announce something you already announced. ### 2. Read the draft Ask for changes in plain words: "shorter", "less salesy", "lead with the number". ### 3. Tap the share link and post Revnu sends the share link as a separate message. Tap it, check the post, and press Post. ### 4. Tell Revnu it's live Paste the live link. Revnu never says a post went out until you confirm. With the link it can look at the public post later and tell you how it's doing, or say plainly if it can't read that site. Already have something to start from? Paste it. A TikTok script, a talk outline or a rough idea works: "turn this into an X post: …". Revnu can't watch a video, so paste the words, not a TikTok link. Posting in a language other than English? There's no share link | Copy the post Revnu sends and paste it into your profile at business.google.com | **Posting a Show HN** HN's guidelines ask people not to post AI-written or AI-edited text. So for a Show HN, Revnu gives you a title and an outline for you to write up yourself. Ask if you want the full text anyway. Two rules keep a Show HN from being flagged: - **Show HN is only for something people can try now**, without a sign-up wall in the way. - **Never ask anyone to upvote or comment.** HN penalises it, friends and colleagues included. **Posting to your Google Business Profile** Revnu can't post to your profile. If it puts the post on a card in **Review**, **Approve** on that card sends nothing. Copy the text, paste it into your profile, then tell Revnu it's live. You can ask for a link to a page on your site in the post. **Posting to Reddit** Many subreddits remove "I made this" posts. Revnu checks the subreddit's rules first, and for developer communities it usually writes a post that teaches something, with one line about your product. Reddit can also filter posts from new or low-karma accounts. If yours disappears, message the subreddit's moderators. ## My Show HN or Reddit post is live. Can Revnu help with the comments? Yes. Send Revnu the live link and ask "how is it doing?" or "help me answer the comments". - **Hacker News.** Revnu can usually read a public HN post and its comments from the link. It tells you where the post stands, which questions people are asking and what to cover in each answer. HN asks for comments in your own words, so write the replies yourself from those notes. - **Reddit.** Reddit often blocks Revnu from reading a thread. If Revnu says it can't read yours, copy the comments into chat and it drafts replies for you to post. Either way, you post the replies yourself. Revnu doesn't comment on HN, and comments on Reddit only for accounts where thread replies are switched on, as described below. Where does the post text go on HN? A link post has no body. Put your text, written from Revnu's outline, in the first comment on your own post, straight after you submit. ## Can I add an image or video to an X post? Not through the share link. It can only carry text. Add the image or video in the X composer before you press Post. If the image is already on your website, a link to it in the post usually shows as a preview card. Need an image? Ask Revnu: "make an image for this post". It makes one in your brand's colours and style once your brand profile is ready, and sends it to you. Save it to your phone or computer, then attach it in the composer. Revnu doesn't make video. ## Can Revnu post to LinkedIn for me automatically? Revnu writes the posts and you publish them with one tap. It researches what your buyers care about, writes posts in your voice, and gives you the draft and a share link. Connecting LinkedIn lets Revnu send invites and messages, not posts. See [connect LinkedIn](/docs/connect-linkedin). What you can automate is the writing. Ask for a recurring task, for example "every Monday, draft two LinkedIn posts for me", and the drafts arrive on schedule, each with its own share link to tap. See [recurring work](/docs/recurring-work). To stop or change a recurring post task later, open **Workflows** in the sidebar, open the task and press **Pause**, or the bin icon to delete it. Revnu writes the post and you submit it from your own account. Reddit works three ways in Revnu: - **Posts work for everyone.** Revnu drafts the post and sends a link that opens the subreddit's text-post form with the title filled in. Paste the body Revnu sent and submit from your own Reddit account. - **Comments are on for some accounts only.** Revnu can find threads where your buyers ask for help and write a reply, but it's switched on account by account. See below. - **Ads run on your own ad account.** You connect it yourself. See [connect Reddit Ads](/docs/connect-reddit-ads). Before you post, read the subreddit's rules on self-promotion. Many remove "I made this" posts, and new or low-karma accounts often get filtered. ## Can Revnu reply to Reddit threads? Yes, on accounts where Revnu's team has switched it on. To ask for it, email support@revnu.com with your workspace name and the subreddits your buyers use. See [get help](/docs/get-help). When it's on, Revnu finds threads where your buyers ask for help and writes a reply. Every reply waits for you in **Review**, whatever your approval settings say, and goes out only when you approve it. ## Does Revnu do TikTok, Instagram or Facebook posts, or video? Revnu writes the script or caption, and you film and post it yourself. It doesn't post to TikTok, Instagram or Facebook or make videos itself. ### Can Revnu write captions for Pinterest, Instagram or Facebook? Yes, for you to post. Revnu writes captions, hashtags if you use them, and the short text that goes on an image, for any platform it can't post to. It can also make a still image in your brand's style, as it does for X posts. For example: > Write three Instagram captions for our gallery opening on Friday, plus the text for a square image. Keep it under 30 words each, no emoji. Copy the caption, add the image in the app, and post it yourself. There's no share link for these platforms. See [Meta ads](/docs/meta-ads). ## How do I make Revnu write in my voice? Revnu already reads your best posts before drafting. It finds your X handle on your site or GitHub if it isn't on file, and reads your LinkedIn posts when it writes for LinkedIn. To help it further: - Tell it your handles, and which past posts did well. - Give it the raw material only you have: why you built the thing, a number, a moment with a customer. - When a draft is wrong, say what's wrong instead of dropping it. "It sounds like an ad" or "I already launched this" gets you a rewrite. ## How do I turn a channel or a style off for good? Write it in Memory yourself. Telling Revnu in chat is a shortcut, not the fix. Revnu reads Memory every time it works, and what you type there is what it reads. ### 1. Open Memory Open **Settings > Memory**. ### 2. Add the rule to your About file Write it in your own words, for example: > Don't draft X posts for me. > My posts read like a product spec. Press Save Your edit reaches Revnu the next time it works. > **Tip:** Style rules belong in your **About** file. **Never Say** is for words, phrases and claims that must never appear, such as "revolutionary" or "guaranteed results", one per line. Don't put "stop sounding corporate" there. If you do tell Revnu in chat ("don't draft X posts"), it uses the rule straight away, but it may keep it in its own notes without changing the text in Memory. Revnu can list the people who reacted to and commented on any public LinkedIn post, yours or someone else's, and add them as leads. You don't need LinkedIn connected for this. Send the post's link, for example: > Add everyone who commented on https://www.linkedin.com/posts/... as leads, and draft a connection request for the founders. X keeps likes private to the post's author, so Revnu can't see who liked your post, and it can't send messages on X. For Reddit and Hacker News, Revnu doesn't track who engaged either. Read the comments yourself and ask Revnu to help you reply. ## If it doesn't work | What you see | What to do | |---|---| | The link opens with an empty post | On LinkedIn and for Reddit bodies, that's expected: paste the draft. Add "Don't draft X posts for me." to the first file in **Settings > Memory**, titled **About** plus your business name and save. Revnu reads Memory every time it works. You can also tell it in chat, but check the line landed in Memory. ### Can Revnu check how my Show HN is doing? Send it the live link and ask. It can usually read a public HN post and its comments, and tells you what people are asking so you can answer in your own words. Reddit often blocks it, so for a Reddit post paste the comments into chat and it drafts replies. ### Can Revnu write Instagram or Pinterest captions? Yes. It writes the caption and any text for the image, and can make a still image. You post it from your own account. ### Can Revnu post comments on Reddit?
