# How Do I Reach Companies That Just Raised Money?

> A GTM play for Revnu. A company that just raised a round has new budget and a plan to spend it. Revnu finds companies in your market that raised in the last 30 days, finds the leader who owns your problem, and writes about the growth the round is meant to buy.

The week a company announces a round, it has fresh money, an aggressive plan and a board waiting for results. Revnu finds companies in your market that just raised, finds the leader who owns your problem, and writes about the growth that round is meant to buy.

## Why it works

New money gets spent fast, and it gets spent on hiring and tools that hit the plan. A funded team is also short on time, so anything that gets results without another hire is welcome. Most sellers send the same "congrats on the raise" email. Revnu writes about what the round is for: the market they're entering, the team they're building, the number they now have to hit.

## How to run it

1. **Describe your buyer.** Industry, size, place, and the round types you want, such as seed or Series A.
2. **Find the rounds.** Revnu searches its own database for companies that raised in your window, with the round type, amount, date and investors.
3. **Read the plan.** Revnu reads each company's site and announcement for what the money is for.
4. **Find the leader.** The person who owns your problem, with a checked work email.
5. **Write about their plan.** One line on the goal the round funds, one on how you get them there faster, and an easy next step.

## The prompt

> Find 30 [industry] companies in [place] that raised a [seed / Series A] round in the last 30 days. Read what each one says the money is for. Find the [job title] at each company and their work email. Write an email about the goal the round is funding, not a congratulations, and offer [your low-barrier offer].

[Try this in Revnu](/sign-up?prompt=Find%2030%20%5Bindustry%5D%20companies%20in%20%5Bplace%5D%20that%20raised%20a%20%5Bseed%20%2F%20Series%20A%5D%20round%20in%20the%20last%2030%20days.%20Read%20what%20each%20one%20says%20the%20money%20is%20for.%20Find%20the%20%5Bjob%20title%5D%20at%20each%20company%20and%20their%20work%20email.%20Write%20an%20email%20about%20the%20goal%20the%20round%20is%20funding%2C%20not%20a%20congratulations%2C%20and%20offer%20%5Byour%20low-barrier%20offer%5D.)

Each lead shows the round on its **Signals** tab. You approve the first sequence in **Review** before anything sends.

## Run it every week

## Frequently asked questions

### How soon after a raise should I reach out?

Within the first few weeks, while the plan is being set and budgets are open. A weekly run catches every round within days.

### Can I filter by investor?

Yes. Ask for companies backed by a particular investor, or by investors you already know. It's a good way to borrow trust, especially if one of your customers shares an investor.

### Should I mention the funding in the email?

Mention what it's for, not the money itself. "Saw you're expanding into Germany" beats "congrats on the raise", because it shows you understand the plan.

### Does this work for later stage companies?

Yes. Change the round type to Series B or later and target the leader of a department, not the founder. Bigger rounds often fund new teams that need new tools.

### Can I combine funding with hiring?

Yes, and it's one of the sharpest lists you can build: "raised in the last six months and hiring their first marketer". Say both in one message.
