# Pause or Stop Everything > Say "pause" and Revnu cancels queued email, sequence and one-off alike, and makes everything ask first. A checklist to stop absolutely everything, how to train Revnu before anything sends, what it doesn't stop (live ads), how to see what already went out, how to resume, and the difference between pausing and cancelling your plan. Pause keeps it that way. > **Warning:** Pause doesn't stop ads that are already live. The checklist below covers them. ## How do I stop absolutely everything? Do all four. Each one covers something the others don't. ### 1. Say "pause" Queued email is cancelled, and one-off emails, blog posts, every LinkedIn invite, message and InMail, and ad tests all wait for you. Sequences on inboxes Revnu set up for you pause too, and pick up again when you resume. Check Revnu's reply for anything already being sent at that moment, which is too late to stop. ### 2. Switch off LinkedIn Sending Open **Settings** and choose the **Agent** tab. Switch off **LinkedIn Sending**. Pause already holds every LinkedIn send, so this is for stopping LinkedIn for good. Revnu then only reads LinkedIn. ### 3. Pause your ads Say "pause all my ads". Live ads keep spending until they're paused here or in the ad platform. ### 4. Pause your workflows Open **Workflows** in the sidebar and tap **Pause** on each one. After step 1 anything they'd send waits for you anyway, but pausing stops the runs. Revnu replies to each step. > **Tip:** You can pause from anywhere in the dashboard. Press ⌘K on a Mac (Ctrl K elsewhere), type "pause" and choose **Ask Revnu: pause**. It sends the same message as typing it in the chat. ## What happens when I say "pause"? 1. All six switches in **Settings > Agent > What Needs Your Approval** go to Ask Me First. 2. Email in the send queue that hasn't started sending is cancelled. 3. Emails from sequences you already approved, sent from your own Gmail or Outlook, now wait for you in Review, one by one. On **Leads**, the **N Steps** pill next to each of those campaigns shows **Paused**. 4. Blog posts that were due to publish on their own stop, and wait for your approval. 5. Revnu replies with three lists: what it cancelled, anything being sent at that moment (too late to stop), and what went out in the last 24 hours. Revnu keeps working while paused. It still researches and drafts. Everything just waits for you. Say "pause" again whenever you want a fresh report. Revnu checks the queue each time rather than answering from memory. ## What doesn't "pause" stop? - **An email already being sent** at that moment. - **A reply to a prospect you already approved.** It still goes out. - **A one-off campaign on inboxes Revnu set up, that you approved before the pause.** It stays paused until you ask Revnu to resume it. - **Something you approve while paused.** Approving an email or a LinkedIn card during the pause sends it, because that's your yes. Replies you type yourself in **Inbox** still send. - **Ads that are already running.** Ask Revnu to pause them ("pause all my ads"), or pause them in the ad platform. - **Workflow schedules.** Workflows still run, but anything they would send waits for you. To stop one, tap **Pause** on it in **Workflows**. ## How do I see what already went out? - Revnu's reply to "pause" lists what went out in the last 24 hours, with times. - **Leads** shows each lead's status, such as Sent, Replied or Bounced. - The **Done** tab in **Review** lists everything you approved and what happened to it. - Home's **What I'm doing** panel shows what's queued under **Next** and what already happened under **Done**. Turn the switches you want back on in **Settings > Agent > What Needs Your Approval**, or tell Revnu which ones: > Put Start Sequences and Blog Posts back to Just Do It. Changing any switch lifts the pause. A pause sets all six switches to Ask Me First, so your old mix isn't restored for you. Switch each one back yourself: - **Start Sequences** back to Just Do It lets the emails of sequences you approved send on their own again. Left on Ask Me First, each of those emails from your own Gmail or Outlook waits for you. - If you turned off **LinkedIn Sending**, switch it back on too. - Sequences on inboxes Revnu set up for you start again on their own. A one-off campaign you approved before the pause waits until you ask Revnu to resume it. ## How do I train Revnu before anything sends? Pause first, teach it, then let it go: 1. **Say "pause"**, so everything waits while you set up. 2. **Keep people you already know off the list.** Add customers, partners and anyone you're already talking to the block list. See [Keep people off your outreach](/docs/exclude-contacts). 3. **Write Memory.** In **Settings > Memory**, fix your About file, **Who We Sell To** and **Product Facts**, and add anything that must never be said to **Never Say**. Ask Revnu for changes until it reads right, then approve it. 5. **Resume.** Switch **Start Sequences** back to Just Do It (see [How do I resume?](#how-do-i-resume)). ## Questions about pausing **Can Revnu restart sending at a set time?** Not on its own. Revnu changes approval switches only when you ask in that same message, never from a scheduled task. To restart at 8am: 1. Ask Revnu to message you at 8am. 2. When it does, reply "resume", or flip the switches yourself. To control the hours email goes out every day, set a sending window instead: "only send between 9 and 5, Toronto time". That applies to inboxes Revnu bought, Monday to Friday. On Pro, email from your own Gmail or Outlook leaves within minutes of approval, up to 50 a day and 20 an hour per inbox. See [How many emails Revnu sends a day](/docs/email-sending-limits). **Is pausing the same as cancelling my plan?** No. Pausing stops sending, but your plan and billing carry on. Revnu has no billing pause. To stop paying, cancel in **Settings > Account**. You can't cancel from chat. To stop LinkedIn for good, switch off LinkedIn Sending in Settings > Agent. ### Can you pause sending and restart at exactly 8am? Revnu pauses now and can message you at 8am. Reply "resume" then, or switch your approval settings back yourself. ### How do I see the emails waiting to be sent? Home's What I'm doing panel lists queued email under Next. Saying "pause" also cancels them and tells you which ones they were. ### Does pausing stop my billing? No. Your plan keeps running while Revnu is paused. To stop paying, cancel in Settings > Account. ### How do I stop absolutely everything Revnu sends? Say "pause", say "pause all my ads", and pause your workflows on the Workflows page. Switch off LinkedIn Sending in Settings > Agent too if you want LinkedIn stopped for good. Pause covers email, LinkedIn and inboxes Revnu bought; only live ads need their own step. ### Can I stop Revnu sending while I teach it about my business? Yes. Say "pause", add people you already know to the block list, fill in Settings > Memory, then read and approve the first sequence. Switch Start Sequences back to Just Do It when you're ready.
