# Delete a lead note

> Remove a note you wrote on a lead's timeline through the API. Notes from your team or your Revnu agent stay.

## Response

`200 { "deleted": true }`. `404` for an unknown note (including one already deleted), a deal stage change (`kind: deal`) or another account's lead. `409` for a note your team or your Revnu agent wrote: only notes with `author: api` can be deleted here.

### Can I delete a deal's stage change?

No. Stage changes are the deal's history; only written notes can be deleted.

### Which scope does this need?

`leads:write`. A token without it gets `403` with `requiredScope` in the body.
